As the oldest volunteer management system of our type, we take great pride in what Three Rings can do, and we work hard to build the most powerful, and intuitive, software that we can – but we’re also a not-for-profit Community Interest Company, dedicated to delivering the best value to our users.
What can Three Rings do?
Three Rings can do a lot! So much, that it wouldn’t be able to fit on this page without making it huge. So, we’ve created a separate Features page to describe it in more detail.
In a nutshell though, Three Rings has a rota you can configure, and that people can sign up to shifts on. It has a Directory where you can see your volunteers (and they can see each other, if you set the permissions that way). There’s a Stats page so you can get data out, a Filestore where you can store documents to share with your volunteers, and a Comms page where you can send everyone emails. And of course, there’s an Admin page where you can configure settings for each of these things.
Who can use Three Rings?
We’re volunteers ourselves and we only sell to charities and community organisations. If you’re not sure if you’re eligble, get in touch with us for a chat.
Organisations who already use us include helplines like university Nightlines, Samaritans branches, the NSPCC. We also support other organisations like community libraries and volunteer-run theatres.
What does Three Rings cost?
As a not-for-profit CIC ourselves, we understand the pressures charities face, so we’ve built a flexible price structure that’s designed to be fair to everyone.
Our prices are based on your organisation’s turnover – in general, the more money you take in over the year, the more we’ll charge for Three Rings, so organisations with tighter budgets can pay as little as £40 a year.
The smallest charities, or brand new organisations that are just getting started might even be exempt from that!
A small community shop or volunteer-run library could probably expect to pay about £150 per year for Three Rings.
A larger helpline, a community theatre, or a religious organisation might pay around £300.
A major national charity with considerable income from grants and lottery funding is likely to pay about £600 for their year’s access to Three Rings.
There’s no setup cost, and we’ll never charge you extra for support – if you use Three Rings, you can contact our support team any day of the year, and we promise to write back within 24 hours.
The annual payment to use Three Rings covers everything – from automatic access to new releases four times a year, to advice on getting set up, even custom data imports from your old system. The only additional cost is for text credits if you use the SMS/text messaging facility. These need to be purchased from a third-party provider.
Sounds great! How do I get started?
We offer hour-long demos of the software to show you around Three Rings and help you decide if it’s right for you. See our getting-started-checklist for more details. Get in touch with us via our contact form if you’d like to arrange a tour, we’ll sort it out.
Alternatively, you might have already seen Three Rings and already know that it’s what you want! In which case, let us know and we can set up a free trial for you. If you decide you want to go ahead after the trial, we’ll then set up the annual invoice.
