Milestone: Jordan was released on 12 June 2022. Significant changes are as follows:
Simpler Email Verification
Clicking on the link to Three Rings link in most emails from Three Rings will now verify your email address. This is much simpler than the previous multi-stage process. This applies to New Account emails, Forgotten Password emails, Change of address emails (to the new address), and all emails sent via Comms but not Weekly Digest Emails (because your email address has to be verified before you can get them!)
Invoicing Changes
You can now pay your invoices by credit card! We have also changed our bank account details and simplified invoice layout.
Introduction of Dark Mode
Most operating systems allow a switch to Dark Mode. Three Rings can now respond to the change and switch themes to suit should an organisation / volunteer wish it. This comes with generally better support for dark themes and a few visual tweaks to adapt better to things in general. Also a new theme, “Default Dark”.
Password Visibility
Following user requests, we have provided an option to display the password so you can see mistypes as you type them.
Confirmation of Deleting Recurring Shifts
It was possible with one click to delete a sequence of shifts together with any signed-up volunteers. If this was done in error, correcting it would take some time (if it is even possible) so we have introduced a confirmation step.
Drag-and-Drop turned off when logged out
For Rota and Filestore, the Drag-and-Drop option is turned off when you log out. It used to retain its setting between sessions but this led to problems with accidental changes to shifts and files. The default is now that the option is turned off.
Default settings for Availability Override rule changed
When you create a rota, the Availability Rule will now allow volunteers to override their availability by default. Existing rotas will not be affected.
Improved Rota Accessibility on small screens
The shift times on the left-hand side of the rota are retained when scrolling sideways on a small screen (if supported by your browser).
Correction of Pullout and Swap Rules
A bug meant that you couldn’t request a swap if you were unable to pull out of a shift. This has been corrected.
New Properties added
As requested by users. In particular, a number of properties have been added to aid with EDI monitoring.
One Time Passcodes in Filestore Secrets
One Time Passcodes (OTPs) can now be added to Filestore Secrets. The Filestore will display the generated codes.
General Ease of Use and Visual Improvements
- The Tree View in the Filestore can now be scrolled independently from the file list. This makes it much easier to view.
- The Breadcrumbs in the Admin page now respect the theme chosen.
- Folder colour can now be selected at time of creation, and this will be respected.
- Clarification of the interactions between the Role Simulator and Keys
